Well I've decided I'm going to try to do a blog a day for the 25 days of December leading up to Christmas...

Thanksgiving for Two
Our Thanksgiving did not quite go as planned this year. At the last minute we were unable to go to the family Thanksgiving get together and were left scrambling on what to do. Chris and I definitely made the best of it and pulled off an awfully nice dinner on a whim. I hadn't been planning on cooking but the day of cooking was definitely worth it when we sat down to enjoy a nice Thanksgiving dinner for two.
After dinner I took advantage of being home and got a great start on all the handmade Christmas cards.
They are signed, sealed, and almost delivered! What a great feeling!
I had a wonderful Thanksgiving despite all the change of plans. I have much to be thankful for.

A Disney Halloween
We spent our Halloween in Disneyland with our family this year and "oh boy" was it fun (did that sound like Mickey Mouse?). We were able to go on lots and lots of rides together and got to see our youngest member of the family, Hope Nicole, experience Disneyland for the first time.
We started off the trip with a stop at the Grove in Los Angeles and lunch at the Farmer's Market.
Then it was off to Disneyland. One of the first rides we went on was Autopia and I've gotta tell you it's not very fun when you're old enough to drive. Those cars do not handle like they're on rails (even though they are). At least we got our driver's licenses right?
Will and my dad got everyone to go to Knott's Scary Farm on Thursday night and after a night of scary clowns chasing everyone with chainsaws it was a nice break to head back to Disneyland for their special Halloween party.
The night was filled with unbelievable creative costumes, a parade of costume-clad characters and lots and lots of candy!
